An Introduction of sorts

Hello Tricowinc readers. I am not exactly sure who reads this blog or who knows me so before I wrote a post about the story that Matt is referring to, about the movies last night, I thought that I'd introduce my self for those who do not know me or know little about me.

My name is Isaac Springall and i guess my friends now call me The iSack. I am fairly new to the Tricowinc family. I moved to town last year and around the end of summer '07 I started hanging out with the guys running this blog and our group expanded and the rest is history. I have enjoyed hanging out with this group of people and our interests are very much the same allowing us all to bounce jokes, stories and references off of each other easily. You may or may not have noticed that I have been on the contributors list for a while now but had never yet posted. This was purely due to laziness one of my biggest personality traits. The last few postings, starting with Matt's long post about his weekend and the ford plant and such, have made Reggie and I want to post, ourselves. So finally I had something good to write about (the story about last night) but then thought hmm maybe I should introduce myself before I just go ahead and surprise whomever with a story from this dickhead Isaac that you know nothing about.

I feel I really haven't accomplished a good intro here. I haven't told you anything about myself so this post almost seems redundant. But honestly, I just went through all the archives, ALL of them and redundancy has not stopped others in the past from posting. So on that note, I think I will end this post and perhaps in future posts of mine you will learn more about me and what kind of person I am. Hell, you may even meet me before those posts and we may become good friends! (doubt it) WHO KNOWS?

OiNK

The title of this blog used to bring a warm, fuzzy feeling to music lovers/torrent downloaders everywhere. Now, it brings pain and anger. It's not that OiNK had betrayed us. They would never. But it's the man. They're bringing us music lovers/torrent downloaders down by shutting OiNK down. The admin was actually held in custody, but now is out on bail. Going to www.oink.cd only show a grey screen that reads:
"This site has been closed as a result of a criminal investigation by IFPI, BPI, Cleveland Police, and the Fiscal Investigation Unit of the Dutch Police (FIOD ECD) into suspected illegal music distribution. A criminal investigation continues into the identities and activities of the site's users."
This is the result of stupid, tightwad laws that happen to hate music distribution. OiNK is not evil. I never worshiped Satan while being on the site. Was there even any porn on there? To quote Matt: "heeell no". It's not like it had an illicit child pornography ring. They had free music and sheet music, etc. Gasp. The horror.
What I'm really trying to say is, Fuck you IFPI, BPI, Cleveland Police, and the Fiscal Investigation Unit of the Dutch Police (FIOD ECD). Leave the internet alone.

Youtube Battles Ep. 4: A New Hope

So I was on Youtube happily searching for live videos of one of ym favourite bands, Liars. I came across this video entitled "Atheists are vile, evil, Satan-worshipping thieving liars!!!". I couldn't resist. I watched this video. It was hilarious, serious or sarcastic. It is down right funny. So I commented. Apparently, a person commented as I was commenting and finished before me. This person needlessly, and stupidly took offence to my comment, believing it was directed at him/her.

oh and mnbvcxzpoiuyt, islam the first religion? It is widely believed that early humans actually had some form of religious practice. Furthermore, Islam started with Muhammad's death in 632 CE (AD), while Hinduism, the world's oldest extant religion, is believed to be started around 5500--2600 BCE (BC). No offence to your religion though. People can worship what they want to.

Hopefully, I'll get a hilarious response. I shall fill you in. Now I need to go get a medal, and I going to make sure Chewie gets one!
