One Man, One Story, One Ankle. A True Not-Fictious Tale by Lucas Thurston

So there I was, in the depths of the Brazilian rainforest when a band of treefrog bandits appeared. I slowly drew out my bowie knife, David, and got ready for the ensuing battle. Darkness was falling over the jungle, and I knew that soon I would be sightless, and defenceless to the unrelenting attack of the treefrog bandits. I had to strike fast and hard. In quick slashes I cut the first bandit to ribbons, backflipped over one of them and then broke its neck. Only three left, but sun was setting fast. Suddenly, one of the treefrogs wrapped its tongue around my ankle and pulled. Seering pain ran up my leg, I knew that they had sprained it.
This injury will greatly inhibit me, I thought.
That's when I remembered the handgun strapped to my injured ankle. I grabbed my ankle, knowing that they would think it was merely a reaction to their attack. With cheetah-like agility the handgun was out and firing before they could run. Three dead treefrog bandits fell to the ground with a wet thud. That's how I have this sprained, maybe fractured, ankle. True story. Either that, or I tripped and landed on my ankle while getting a soccer ball from the school's garden and I went to the hospital but lightning shorted out the x-ray machine so I have to return tommorow.

Ok, heres a post

Yesterday, Reg, Wilco, Josh and I went to Toronto for an Animal Collective concert. For those of you who havent heard animal collective, there will be a video of their hit new song, Peacebone, at the bottom of this post. Anyways, it was at the Phoenix Concert Theatre, or something, and everyone was packed in and my butt got touched repeatedly. The most disgruntling butt touching came from a large (fat) bearded man, who had to get by, but in the process enveloped me. Anyways, they performed excellently, and everyone was happy except for those stupid elitists who were all like "that was sort of disappointing" but no one cares what elitists think anyways. The opening act was terrible, however, and it consisted of one man on a mixer who had access to too many effects and it seemed like he had to use them all, or he'd DIE.

Anyways, (look at my tabbing! proper formatting of paragraphs is paramount to readability! (i'm looking at you, reg)) whilst in T.O., we went to a Harveys and while we were eating (i had onion rings that burnt my tongue, and were of small portions) we saw a seemingly crazy drug addict try to get money from people. He looked very angry for some reason. When we were done eating, we went outside and the guy tried to get money from us because he needed 2 bucks to get to work, and has been outside for 2 hours trying to get it. One would think he could've walked to work in that time, but maybe not! Perhaps he worked in Atlanta? I shouldn't jump to conclusions so quickly.

In further news, my cymbals and throne have come, but now its so incredibly cramped in my basement its hard to actually get to the drumkit to practice anything. Also, i have nowhere to put my book where its not uncomfortable to read. So i guess this is a sign i have to clean something up, right?

In school news, im trying to get out of my foods class! Reg has informed me that communications has spots open, and i hate my foods class. We had to bake TEA BISCUITS. TEA BISCUITS. So im trying to get out of there, but the guidance counselor appointment list is 56 miles long, and 3 metres wide. BLECH ADIO

Well, Since I missed last monday's video post, heres one.

That is "Peacebone" by Animal Collective. They played this at the concert. Since I'm a nice guy, and i dont want to have to do another video tomorrow, heres another one RIGHT NOW! WOW!

This is "North American Scum" by LCD Soundsystem. Nice, innit? Well, that was a longer than usual post. Until next time, Stay Alert, Stay Safe
